The Plantation Cottage was great! This cottage is well taken care of and very clean. We loved the privacy and the close proximity to the beach. The sunrise from the porch was great in the mornings. The bed was very comfortable. We have stayed on the north shore multiple times and this is our new favorite. We would love to stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Plantation Cottage in Hanalei. The property is very well maintained and it’s very quiet and private. We loved that it’s walking distance to both town and the beach. Thanks for a great stay.

This cottage is so peaceful, serene, and calming. It has good feng shui. It was everything we hoped for and more.

Perfect little Hanalei cottage on a very large lot. Spent a lot of time on comfortable day bed on front lanai. We are former residents of the North Shore and we visit regularly. This will be a definite go to place to stay on future visits..

There was some renovation/construction next door but barely noticeable.

Very happy to see the house is both maintained in good condition, kitchen equipped well, but still with the "old Hawaii" style. Only negatives are the laborers woring next door, a cockroach, and the sofa's weakening webbing making it less than comfortable. Will look forward to visiting again.

We had a wonderful time staying in the little cottage just across the road from Hanalei Beach and within walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. It is an old structure, but so too is Hanalei--that's part of its charm, so it fits in well. It is hidden down a driveway and behind another property, so private and quiet, but with plenty of outdoor space. We were very happy to be staying there, quiet and peaceful. And it grew on us, the longer we stayed.

Our trip to Hanalei was elevated by staying at the Plantation Cottage. Tucked in a secluded driveway off Weke Rd. next to the beaches Hanalei Bay, the cottage is situated in a large, private landscaped lawn, giving us ample space to unwind, relax and simply be without intrusion. Entering the cottage, we were greeted with an open-air design with lots of screened windows to allow sunshine and breeze into the interior. The living room featured comfortable bamboo furniture and the bedroom was well-apportioned with a cozy California-king sized bed.

On the spacious lanai, outfitted with an oversized futon and fans overhead, we enjoyed breakfast of local coffee, granola and fresh fruit. After breakfast, we gathered up beach towels, straw mats, and folding chairs, all supplied with the property. We were happy to have options to choose between walkable beaches, as the cottage is located between the pier and beach park, both with the best swimming spots in the bay.

After sunning and swimming, we retired back to the lanai for afternoon drinks and snacks of fresh poke and sushi from the Dolphin Fish Market. In the evening we utilized the charcoal grill for fresh ahi and mahi mahi, cooked in banana leaves for an extra island taste factor, and fresh local produce for dinner.

During our stay, we recommended the place to dear friends who also enjoy a slow pace and tranquility when traveling for pleasure. We are grateful for the communication and responsiveness of the kind staff at Napali Properties, who exemplify the aloha spirit. We look forward to booking with them again as we plan our next stay at the Plantation Cottage.

A near perfect little cottage for two. Close to the beach and town of Hanalei.

We spent a week in this house and it was wonderful. Super clean, comfortable and peaceful. First time in Hawaii and it felt very authentic. 5min walk from the beach but you can hear the waves crashing from the property. Highly recommend - would stay there again.

The Plantation Cottage has everything you need for a stay in Hanalei, in a simple and beautiful little package. The house itself is charming, with a great mix of vintage and modern furniture, extra soft bed linens and all you need in the kitchen. But the true star is the property itself - a GIANT and PRIVATE yard, complete with a blissful outdoor shower (we didn't use the indoor shower once!), tons of incredible Hawaiian flora and fauna and a view to kill for. We didn't want to leave and hae already started planning a trip back!

It's a great location away from the road hidden behind another property. Easy walk to Hanalei beach and the town.

We spent a lovely week here. 5 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute walk to Hanalei village. The cottage had everything we needed for a beach day. Very private and relaxing. Can’t wait to return!

We love Plantation Cottage as a private and quiet hideaway yet so close to the beach and Hanalei town; simple "old style" Hawaii accommodations at their relaxing best. Na Pali Properties goes out of their way to make our stay pleasant. We hope to go back for our fifth stay at Plantation Cottage before too very long.

Darling, extremely private small cottage across from the beach. Kitchen well appointed. Bed very comfortable. Outdoor shower and bed were wonderful!

We have stayed in many rentals along Weke Road and Plantation Cottage has become one of our favorites. The beach is a block away thru the pavilion, an easy walk - frankly not much further than the walk to the ocean from some of the larger houses on the beach side of the road that are set a long way back from the waves. The cottage does not have a view from inside, with hedges on all sides around the very large grassy area, but that also means it is isolated from any noise in other houses or from traffic on Weke Road - quiet and private! It's an easy walk to town. The cottage is well maintained and stocked, with a particularly lovable covered lanai with a bed converted into a comfy place for afternoon naps (or even sleeping outside on warm nights), plus chairs and small tables outside for lazy afternoons. The wifi has been upgraded to a high speed connection. The bedroom is more spacious than other 1 or 2 br units along Weke Road. The kitchen and living room are a single large area; everything worked in the kitchen, with nothing missing that we noticed. A lovely place to stay in Hanalei!

My husband and I went to Kauai 5 years ago for his birthday and stayed in Princeville. We spent a day in Hanalei and absolutely fell in love. We knew when we returned we wanted to stay in the bay, close to the beach. This location is a short walk to the pier or another near by public beach access, and a short 10 minute walk into town! It is perfect for walking off a Pokè lunch or dinner from one of the many amazing restaurants in Hanalei. The house has lots of amenities; a Brita for refilling your water, beach towels, washer and dryer (came in handy after our Kalalau Trail hike!) and our favorite ... the outdoor shower. This was a life changing vacation home experience and we can’t wait to return to this perfect house!

The location was perfect and the rental was exactly as expected.

Not our first time staying there....we love the quietness and beautiful grounds...the lanai is great too...some people might like a more modern place but we enjoy the feel of old Hawaii...Hali the lead for rentals at Na Pali Properties is wonderful. We had an issue with the internet and she solved it quickly. She has local knowledge too if you have any questions.

Cute little cottage. No A/C so the windows had to stay open. It was hot during the day and cool at night. The biggest issuue was with the windows open. the bugs inside were pretty bad.

the house was as advertised, very comfortable for 2 people. After some needed repairs (fans not working)it was a carefree vacation

A charming cottage that provided just what we needed in a wonderful location!

This place is lovely and so much fun to have a quiet little hide out in the middle of the playground that is Hanalei! Na Pali Properties were great to work with. My only watch-out is that wifi is silly slow, to the point that we had to use our phones as a hot spot. We had debated making this a working trip, rather than vacay only, so it wasn't really a problem for us, but it would be for someone looking for a remote work option.

Loved the vintage cottage and it’s amenities. Very private location, great for couples who want to spend private time relaxing in close proximity to restaurants, and all the N. Shore has to offer,ie, hiking, swimming, paddle boarding.
No need to be in car

We stayed at the plantation cottage for our honeymoon in Hanalei and it was perfect. The house is the perfect size for two people, close to everything, really clean and just made everything easy! We loved it!

Classic Hawaiian bungalow, with a 2-minute walk to what I think is the greatest beach in the world. The property is surrounded by lush greenery and far enough away from any neighbors that you'll never see anyone from your property. It sits right next to the historic Wilcox house making it even quieter and exclusive. Huge porch that even has an outdoor bed if you wanted to sleep outside breathing in the delicious Hawaiian air. The house came complete with everything you would need to make any size meal; stove, microwave, utensils etc. And everything was super clean too. Thank you for making this available at such a good price!!!

The entire time here was exactly what we were looking for. Charming traditional Hawaiian cottage in a beautiful (and very private) setting. Off the grid. Quiet, peaceful and serene. Woke to birds each morning. Short walk to the beach. This is a place to unwind and be away from crowds and noise of a resort. Could not have been more pleased.

We've stayed here annually for numerous years and keep returning to this cottage, which is the best recommendation we can give.

I had one of the best vacations ever staying at this lovely and private home. Loved the location and was able to surf the Hanalei pier and pavilion while visiting. Also enjoyed beach combing, snorkeling Tunnels and running in the neighborhood.

We had an amazing stay once again at the cottage. We has eight days of sun. A first for me for the nearly 50 years I’ve been coming to Kauai. We only had two complaints. 1. You need a new ceiling fan in the bedroom. 2. A large cockroach crawled on my wife during the night. Scared her half to death. It was a one time thing but one you should be aware of. Otherwise we loved it. We’ll be back!
