Great little cottage, short walk to Hanalei and the beach. We especially loved the outdoor shower, covered outdoor patio, and 100% cotton bedding.

Amazing stay. We will stay here again any time we are in Kauai! The location was so perfect and the value is unreal.

Once again we has a great time at Malolo Cottage. Having been to Hanlei many times over the years, we especially enjoyed the location. We only used our rental car from and to the airport, enjoyed walking every morning and strolling to the shops and restaurants. Na Pali Properties were available and helpful, the house was clean and well equipped for our needs. If you want a little piece of heaven - try it out.

It was pretty perfect.
On past visits we have stayed closer to Pavilions than Pine Trees, and this was much better, with less traffic and a short stroll to an uncrowded beach. the cottage was well ticked with all essentials,, boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkels, etc.A beach umbrella might have been nice, too. The kitchen had everything needed except counter space for food prep. The beds are very good. Neighbors were never noisy. Our favorite dinner out was at Barracuda. Great food.

The house was perfect for our family of three. Everything worked as it should, the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our 14 nights immensely. The only thing we didn’t enjoy were the seats in the tv area but that was it. We will try to stay at the Malolo Cottage next time we come to Hanalei.

We lovingly referred to this rental as our family surf shack for the week. My partner and I worked remotely during our stay which worked out perfectly because during down hours we could easily walk to and from the beach. Hanalei is such a gem and was a perfect surf and boogie board spot for our family.

This home was in a great location in Hanalei, two blocks from town and about the same distance to the beach. Very clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Simple decor, tastefully done, as described in rental description. Would definitely stay here again!

we have stayed at Malolo a few times, always great.Very clean and stocked well with supplies that matter e.g. coffee filters. So convenient by bicycle to both ends of Hanalei Beach. As good as one might expect for a couple who chooses to avoid hotel scenes and the people drawn to that option.
There are only two things that we can mention needing any attention: the Weber has no top and the blinds on back wall over bed do not easily come down if lifted to access the window mechanism. The team of Hali and Joan were excellent as management hosts. If you are considering this property and are 2 people or 2 with small child do not hesitate to book (always in June-Aug so we can have a chance to return in our preferred months).

Our visit to Malolo cottage was nothing short of outstanding – Jane and her crew at Na Pali properties here in Hanalei, Make you feel right at home!
And the ease of checking in and checking out was unparalleled – Hanalei itself is a magnificent place to visit; laid-back with a great vibe. Hope to come year after year. Aloha!!

From the short walk to downtown Hanalei, to the great view of the mountains - with waterfalls - to the short jaunt to the beach, it was wonderful!

Small and simple but has all you need for a great stay in Hanalei.

Malolo Cottage was clean, simple, adequate. The location was very convenient to either the beach or town. The view of the mountains was beautiful. The outdoor shower is a good substitute for the inside shower which is a bit small, the outside washer dryer are new and clean. The cottage is basically one room and a bathroom, the decor is dated and minimal. but clean, comfortable and cozy, The kitchen is fine for basic breakfast/lunch or simple dinner prep. The neighborhood was quiet, but only one other house was occupied while we were there. We spent 10 happy days, content at Malolo Cottage.

We loved staying in Malolo Cottage! We're big fans of Hanalei, and even though it's obviously gentrifying, we're so grateful that there are still some simple homes there, like in the "old days." I did yoga every night under the stars on the soft lawn. We ate breakfast every morning on the lanai. We went to the beach every day, and used the washer/dryer and the clothes line to keep our clothes clean and dry during our stay. Oh, and did I mention the orange trees in the yard? And of course everything in Hanalei is walking distance. We can't wait to come back. Mahalo for your hospitality!

Great experience, conveniente location, outside shower (cold and hot water) its a plus. beds are comfortable, clean. We requested beach chairs and they were provided for us. I would highly recommedn this place to a friend.

Amazing location - walk to beach & downtown Hanalei.

Laid back cottage with outdoor shower and carport/lanai for hanging out. Kitchen has just enough for simple food prep. Comfortable place with fantastic location.

As the pictures show, this is not a luxury vacation rental. However, the location cannot be beat. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach and to the shops and restaurants of Hanalei. The cottage was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. NaPali Properties has not returned my deposit after 35 days. I left the cottage clean, and the towels I used were drying in the dryer when I departed at 8:30am.

Lovely place to stay in the heart of Hanalei. Close to shops and restaurants. Close to the beach. And with everything you need for a pleasant stay. All instructions were clear and Na Pali Properties was responsive to every request.

The house has a perfect location and it’s simplicity is just right for us. We have stayed at the cottage three times and hope to come back soon

Incredible location within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and groceries. Great hiking nearby at Haena state park. The cottage was clean and comfortable - we had a great stay! Thanks for hosting us!

Enjoy Hanalei every time we come

We had a great two week stay at Malolo Cottage in Hanalei. Loved the proximity to town and the beach. We didn't even rent a car our first 11 days and enjoyed seeing the beach and town on foot.

Older dated studio but in an excellent location in Hanalei. Only one block from the beach. Very clean but smaller than we were used to. We had a great time. Couches were low to the ground which were hard for us being that we are older. Shower is very small (30x30) but we made due. Take soap and shampoo from home because it's not there. We did have a great time.

oh how i wish i could stay

The cottage was more cozy then it looked in photos. Neighborhood was quiet, and the big spacious yard was nice as a buffer from the neighbors. Amazing to be this close to shops and a great beach. We loved it!

I stay in this house every time I visit Kauai. Na Pali Prop. Is a great Co. and I appreciate their attention to detail and in addressing any questions/needs their guests may have.

Malolo Cottage is perfect.. Exactly what we look for while vacationing in Kauai! OUTSTANDING experience... Looking forward to returning, only to Malolo Cottage! My only disappointment is not discovering Malolo Cottage sooner.. We have been visiting Kauai every summer for the past 20 years! Now, we know..

Everything about the house was perfect and our great experience with the Property Management Company ...Napali Properties. Went the extra Mile to help us. Like they were friends not business people.
The beach is close ... 2 blocks away. .. Close to town. Great bakery... Health food store. You can shop in Princeville or Kapa'a or even Lihue.

I visit hanalei for 20 years. This was the coldest year ever. Could have used some type of heater (floor)
